Children’s Author and Billboard Artist Goes Big this Summer

Kim Cameron continues her conquest of multimedia markets.

NEW YORK, NY, May 20, 2014 /24-7PressRelease/ — After hitting the Top 20 twice in the last 6 months on the Billboard Dance Club Charts, Kim Cameron decided to take on the big guns.

Yes, she is going after the Summer Song for 2014 by releasing Let’s Fall in Love. Coupled with an over-the-top graphical music video featuring two New York fitness models, Let’s Fall in Love delivers both a mesmerizing summery breeze while keeping you on your feet with Kim’s signature bass dance beats.

In only a few days the video has gone viral, with well over 180,000 views logged in. Producer Kevin Rockhill, who has a resume of Tiesto, Jake Miller, Stonebridge and other number one hits, took Cameron’s vocals to a whole new level.

“Kim wanted to create something unique and compelling; so when she came to me, I knew exactly what I had to do to make the record stand apart from the rest,” said Rockhill. “It’s nice when you can create something that separates a song from the noise.”

If that weren’t enough, Cameron released the third book in her Seaper Powers children’s book series, called ‘The Rescue,’ that has recently taken off across the country, featuring Kim’s magic puppet tour at grade schools from California to New York to Florida. Over the course of nine months, Cameron has read and performed for more than 8,000 kids across the country.

In between writing children’s books and new hit dance songs, Cameron has been collaborating with former Village People performer Richard Trifan and a children’s choir for the release of 4th of July, due out this summer.

Moving further into the multimedia arena, Kim will also appear in a planned reality-documentary series based on the School of Rock, where she serves as a vocal instructor for young enrollees. And, in a remarkable twist, Kim has also been cast in one of the most audacious major movie projects yet to be based on a dramatic Biblical theme – about which more in due course.

Let’s Fall in Love is the last single to complete Cameron’s fifth album ‘Still Spinning’ and already caught the ear of one of the biggest radio stations in the US. http://www.sidefxmusic.com

New Single Already Beating the Odds

With only 4 weeks under her belt with the latest single ‘Now You’re Mine,’ Kim Cameron is proving that as an indie dance artist, no club is immune from her sound.  This week, the new single debuted on Billboard’s Dance/ Club chart at #42 with a bullet.

Also, announced this week was a coveted spot with the renown P.S. 22 Chorus.  On January 28, at their Staten Island, NY location, the students and Cameron will take on the new single, raising this indie artist’s bar even further.  She will join the likes of Tori Amos, Crowded House, Daughtry, Carrie Underwood, Stevie Nicks and a host of other national stars.

Riding off the heels of her Top 20 Billboard success in October, Cameron released this new dance track with more drive than a racing car.  Co-written/produced with powerhouse DJ Steve MrMig Migliore, and Billboard charting, Grammy-Nominated Mike Rizzo, this song has already been the talk of the underground electronica town.

Spreading a little Christmas Cheer at NIH’s Children’s Inn

While the snowflakes began to sprinkle Washington, DC, and folks around town rushed to finish their last minute Christmas shopping, children’s book author and Billboard artist Kim Cameron headed into the National Institute of Health’s Children’s Inn to read a bit of holiday cheer.  Sixteen families could not make it home for Christmas this year due to ongoing treatments for their child at the hospital, but thankfully the Children’s Inn was filled with holiday festivities to keep the minds of the little ones occupied.

Christmas trees, lights and roaring fireplace set the mood for the first activity: a reading from the new children’s series Seaper Powers.  As the families gathered around, Kim Cameron brought out the puppets to tell the story of a little girl who finds magical powers in the Caribbean sea and can talk to fish.

The event was sponsored by Agilex Technologies, who donated SeaperPowers books I and II to each family, along with a stuff fish toy.  “I love reading to book to kids, but doing a reading at the Inn on Christmas Eve was probably the most special reading I have ever done,” said Cameron.  “I was touched that the children wanted to talk about their illness with me.  It was hard not have your stomach knot up when a 7 year old cannot see out of her right eye, or another who is on her third try to beat leukemia.”

President of the Agilex Health Care division, Larry Albert, also attended the event, assisting in the puppeteering, “When Kim asked us to help out, we all immediately said ‘yes’!  What a great way to spend Christmas Eve,” said Albert.

The Inn had a series of musical guests, and events over the holiday, even a Santa.
